I bought my Rumble 500 Combo with a 115 cab last year before the release of the 800..I would love the 800 but money considerations this year will prevent it...hope you get some great use from yours Devon. Congrats..from all reports they are a great unit.

Yes, with over 900 Rumble Club members I would think more than half are combo owners! Fertile ground to dig up potential Combo Club members.

Datsgor, that classic Fender rig just scored you our 97th membership spot, congratulations! A few years ago, when the TV was still in production, I longed for the Fifteen combo. That may be your Jazz in front, but it looks suspiciously like mine except for yours being a righty. I love the look of your rig! Tease me with letting us all know how the two sound paired up. Thanks for popping in.

Well, thank you and, the jazz and TV 15 are quickly becoming my favorite gig tools for the stuff I am doing. Blues and 50's, 60's rock n roll. It just is so full, so thick and chewy and easy to dial in. It always gets compliments and the kicker is it just looks so cool. The drag is that it's heavy and after a 4 set gig just lifting it into the truck is tough. But that is such a small thing really. I have some memorable time with th TV so I will be keeping it for the foreseeable future. Peace.

What I like about this club is it's members represent a very diverse group. The one common bond is the appreciation for Combos of any manufacture.

Some like technical discussion while others like discussing food or funny topics...often these are the same people, just at different times. The nice thing is, if you have a topic of interest to you, bring it up. Chances are there are members here who will give you unbiased and informative discussion.

Okay, we're 100 members in. Our goal is to continue adding alligent combo owners to the cause. Say a prayer for Stumbo who I hear is off on a recruiting mission.

I also submit to you that we consider doing something in the vein of our discussion earlier this week with a massive, bass-heavy worldwide jam on YouTube or something. Go back a few pages to read what we of the comedy group in this club were discussing concerning our virtual club party.

I've always wanted to try one of those songs played by musicians from around the planet. Has anyone here ever done one of those before? One of my favorites is Kansas' "Magnum Opus" played by a fantastic online band. I'm not Dave Hope, but would love to do something like that.

Or better yet, someone here starts off with a groove and then any interested party can add to it until there are so many of us jamming, like with a looper, it becomes a cacophony of sweet bass tones, or maybe a bad Frank Zappa song, I dunno.

Kick it around, and hopefully someone who gets my vision but has way more understanding and/or experience at this can let us know if it's even possible to create this piece. Come on CC, it's summer and my Farm to Fork workshop is complete. Let's create!

Thanks, #98 is great!
The bass--I call it my "Roadside Bass" cuz I found it on the side of the road on trash day--is an early 70s MIJ P-bass copy by Crestline. The jack was pulled out and pick guard broken so it looks a little strange but plays pretty good once I fixed it up. It plays better than me anyway.

Haxel, way to rock the BA112 v2 and what looks to be another sunburst Jazz. By the looks of things, you're scrambling that tone with a bit of dirt too. Great timing on your part, you are to be known forever as Member #98. Congrats and thanks a bunch for signing up with the coolest club on this crazy sphere of ours.

Members, this was a huge night tonight and we're officially only one member away from making Stumbo legit. Get the champagne ready, it could happen at any time now.

Hey Doc! Me neither, and I'm the big mouth who mentioned it. I thought to myself that there's are all these great players out there; from old pros to weekend warriors, and bedroom hobbyists to newbies, and that we could do something really unique to let the world know we're here. Again, I've always been an idea guy who doesn't always put much thought into the d-e-t-a-i-l-s. I'm think Paul McCartney's "Rockestra" for bassists. Hey, wait a minute...that just might be the one!

The three have been head +cab of one I still have. It’s a class D LWA 1000 and a Acme Low B series 3 cab

The LWA 1000 is 6lbs and the Acme Low B series 3 around 20lbs

Happy Friday, Combo Club! Yeah, I know, it's kind of a late wish. Blame summer vacation. I'll be leaving the club site open late this weekend because I'll be home enjoying some late-July relaxation. Steer any new members this direction, ask an interesting question, tell us if you have any gigs coming up or a great gig story of old, or just stop by and say hi.

We here at the club had a great week. We reached the century mark in membership, enjoyed some outstanding images of members' tools of the trade, and laughed silly at wacky Australian cuisine. I threw out the insane idea of doing some sort of massive bass recording, featuring club members. Though I've never done one of these types of recordings, I'm up for all thoughts and ideas. The best news is I once again held off increasing club dues, so Giffro will have enough in his wallet to pay for his vacation. You're welcome!
