The Combo Club

Members of the Combo Club, . . . . . Folks, we're down to five spots left before the magic 100 is reached and @SoulReflection hosts a huge party with tons of food, drink, and best bass recordings. Or was that @G-Dog? I'll have to check my notes. Nope, wrong on both counts...it's @JakobT preparing some of his famous Norwegian delicacies! . . . . . .
Your humble Rumbling secretary,
iagtrplyr

No huge party here! Just a small intimate gathering of ~100 of our favorite musicians jamming to the beat of that humble Rumbler himself, @iagtrplyr! 'Cause, you know, we'd have a hell of a band! Band! Baaaaand! Whoa. Not that rock 'n roll heaven. Just some snacks, drinks and appreciation for light and lovely, easily portable, combo amps. Hey, you guys, use a coaster, will ya? That's an antique table. Do we need more ice yet? Mmmm, who made this hummus? Really? Your own micro-brewery? Here's the speaker cable someone wanted. Oh, yeah, there's more dip in the fridge. No, not the 8x10 fridge, the refrig...erator. So glad all you guys and gals could make it. So nice to see y'all! Party on!!

Oh, Ya...and Hey @JakobT, could you pass some of that fresh Norwegian fish over this way? Nothing like a Norwegian Caesar...drool;).

This was awesome. Now you know why you were put on the party committee, 'Dog! All I ask is you treat the place with class AND make sure you toss a tip in the guitar case because our club savings account is about nil.

Finally, does anyone out there play a little piano? We may need some melody, right? Maybe not.

Sure, I'll contribute to the guitar case. Probably a couple picks will fall out of my wallet, too.

And if someone plays a regular sized piano or keyboards, that'd be great. Some others and I could also play lead and/or rythym guitar, too. Bound to be a drummer somewhere in the club, maybe?

Lots of fired drummers roaming around...

The word is absolutely yes, you may join this elite group of non-elitist types who enjoy music, bass playing, and amps like yours. That's a nice portable rig you have yourself, Smith357. I've wondered how that particular amp sounds. Pretty good from what I've read. Your number will arrive momentarily.

Thank you very much.

My old 80s era Yamaha amp devolved some rattles, so with a $500 budget I went looking for a new amp. I tested everything in Guitar Center and Sam Ash with a 12" or larger driver, it was a close call between the Ampeg and the Hartke but I just like the tone and sheer simplicity of the Hartke a better.

I use a Landmark 60 by Tech 21. Sweet little combo, really strong for a rated 60w too.

Currently looking for a Trace Elliot, maybe a Commando if i'm lucky enough to find one, love them!

Russell L, I'd agree with you, you are a combo lover. We share administration for the Rumble 100, but I'm wondering what's your favorite amp you're currently playing? There's lots to choose from there. BRW, congrats, you are member # 95...wear it proudly!

Cropduster, I'm proud to announce that you and that tasty rig of yours is member #96. Welcome to the club and please don't be a stranger. I'll bet your setup has some punch to it. It looks that way even on standby. Thanks again!
