As I said(somewhere), I gots nuthin' against P's or J-s. My hands don't get along with 7ender necks. I'm thinking of selling my Squier VM Jag SS backup bass. If I do a whole gig on it, my hand hurts for a coupla days. It felt OK testing it at GC. It sounds good, but it's literally a PITH(not the helmet).

Next time you’re aimlessly wandering around your local GC, grab one and see what you think. I’d like your opinion.

Due to Fender (Squier) discontinuing the Jag, you could probably get more than what you paid. I found little difference between playing the Jag and my Mustang. But, playing the Rogue was different. The Rogue seems to have narrower string spacing, so I can (sort of) understand. There are a lot of differences in necks as, I believe, I will find out.

The VM Jaguar is s'posedly a J profile. It's just different enuff from my TBird neck profile/radius that my 75 y/o left hand* is uncomfortable. But, if I happen to go to a GC[unlikely], I'll take a look/feel

Hmm. The mods[thumb rest, "ashtray"] I made in mine(see pic)may add value too. I haven't decided for certain 'bout selling it. We'll see.

I agree with you. I have done similar mods with mine and, for now, am happy with keeping it in the family.

Yep, that Rogue’s spacing is pretty narrow and I sometimes catch another string with my plucking finger. Way less chance of that with both the P and J.

On the other side of the coin is the fact that the Beatle bass has a super fast neck and it’s just plain fun to play.

I bought the two covers (bridge and Pu) when I installed the vintage bridge on my Jazz, but ultimately yanked them both off after a short time. I wasn’t as comfortable playing with them on plus I felt like an ancient relic staring at them.

Cool picture, red. Darn, I like that white D4. As they say, it looks fast just sitting there! I promise to stop gushing every time you show it off, but I'm not known for my self-discipline. I'm more of the Do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do kinda guy. I'll try though.

Haven’t tried my new bass with anything other than the 100c (so far). The Ampeg is next, followed by the PBJ, and then M’s Terror Bass bats third. Then I have to bring the SuperBeetle from the bedroom to join in the fun.

Wouldn’t you know it, my time will begin getting more limited now!
