That’s an interesting idea. Might save ya some time. I’ve read where Windows 10 and the app don’t always play well together. I’m still trying to figure the DAW out, so I don’t always know what works and what doesn’t until I try doing something specific..

Our buddy, SR, has begun working on recording as well (SPOILER ALERT) with his Scarlett, and we plan on comparing notes. I was hoping this week to play along with some of their pre-loaded instruments, drums, guitar, keys and record that.

That Chowney deserves to be turned into tiny digital bits...get to it!

Ah, I got it. I created a M$ family member account for myself and set the ProSonus driver as my default. Plug in the DAW, switch accounts and good to go. Which brings me back to my daily practice so I will have it ready come Sunday.

Reggae Drummer by Lumbeat. I use four of their apps. Easy to use and get a decent track to play along with. My music teacher turned me on to them, we used them at my lesson a couple of times and I was sold

'Afternoon CC members! I have finished my setup on the new Precision and it now dons the LaBellas I took off the Jazzer earlier this summer. As expected, they went on perfectly and did not demand much in the way of even a truss rod adjustment. I sharpened the E-string slightly during intonation and that was it. I also polished up the frets, not noticing any aberrations. Seriously, if this is how Fender is kicking out their new instruments, then grab one quick if you're shopping.

I've heard lefty instruments tend to come off the line in a slightly better condition being everything is backward and needs more attention. I have no proof, but this one allowed me to peacefully slumber last night because I knew there was nothing major to work on for today. Okay, enough gushing. Here's a very nice pic taken by someone in my home who decided to make it more of an artsy photo than I might've done, but still much appreciated. View attachment 3918518

Cool picture, red. Darn, I like that white D4. As they say, it looks fast just sitting there! I promise to stop gushing every time you show it off, but I'm not known for my self-discipline. I'm more of the Do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do kinda guy. I'll try though.

Incoming is an XLR to quarter inch cable. That'll let me record through the ProSonus from any of three DIs. One on the VT Bass, one on the PJB combo, and one on the Elf. Which means I'll also be monitoring from the rigs as I record direct. Imagine that.

Do you recall what type of Labella's you put on your new P?

Let me look. I always keep the packaging of the last set of strings I put on each bass since with flats you don't change the, too often. Yes, I am Mr. OCD.

They are 760FS flats 45-105. I highly recommend them even though I know there are tons of great strings out there. Now, if you're talking about stringing up your Mustang, SR, you might be looking at a shorter scale string, but if you're thinking full-size bass then I'd recommend these for that tone I know you like.

Yes, as you can tell, I had a few free minutes to say hello to my bass buddies. I've been on the phone all day calling parents asking whether they want to send their kids back to school or go online. The responses have been interesting, to say the least. And that darn Precision is sitting across the room looking at me longingly.

I found that I was sorrily lacking cables and adapters when I went with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and monitor speakers...Amazon and Hosa love me .

No kidding. I've had to acquire more cable doodads and whatnot, and you know I never had any intention of recording. Here am us now.
