The Combo Club

I only waltz on days that end in “Y”.

Was able to start eating again. The Docs think the nausea was brought on by Tylenol on an empty stomach. Took some zofran (anti-nausea meds), got some fluids by mouth, and promptly slept most of the morning away. It’s been more than a decade since I was laid this low. Test results should come back in a day or two.

That doesn’t sound too bad. I mean at least there’s an explanation about feeling sick. I bet you’ll be feeling a little better by Sunday and playing bass by the middle of next week.

And if I’m wrong, I’ll forward you a couple of Willy Wonka Golden Schmackeroons that I’ve been saving. And you thought I was gonna say Golden Ticket, right? Silly clubsters, that’s just make believe! :roflmao:

Got my test results. I’ve got the ‘rona... stuck at home for the next two weeks now.

I feel a million times better today. I’ve slept most of the last two days. Today I took a walk around the block (masked up, of course). I may even be mostly human by the end of the day.

Lots of Bass practice in my future...[/QUOTE

And like any good musician, finding any excuse that'll allow more playing time...it works for me! As sorry as we all are you got Rona'd, can you please offer us a once-in-a-while update on how you're feeling. I'm asking for an old friend who's about to begin teaching a group of super-spreaders in the next month. We'll continue thinking good thoughts for Recon and all those stricken with this terrible virus.

'Afternoon CC members! I have finished my setup on the new Precision and it now dons the LaBellas I took off the Jazzer earlier this summer. As expected, they went on perfectly and did not demand much in the way of even a truss rod adjustment. I sharpened the E-string slightly during intonation and that was it. I also polished up the frets, not noticing any aberrations. Seriously, if this is how Fender is kicking out their new instruments, then grab one quick if you're shopping.

I've heard lefty instruments tend to come off the line in a slightly better condition being everything is backward and needs more attention. I have no proof, but this one allowed me to peacefully slumber last night because I knew there was nothing major to work on for today. Okay, enough gushing. Here's a very nice pic taken by someone in my home who decided to make it more of an artsy photo than I might've done, but still much appreciated.

That's one handsome instrument!

Thank you, Lady M. I don’t usually bake instruments but this one is now Bella, as everyone knows is Italian for beautiful. I’m hoping for a very long and lusty relationship for years to come.

Of course, the Jazz isn’t talking to me even though I worked on its string height today. The Rogue hasn't even noticed there’s a new roommate and I’m okay with that.

That is just simply gorgeous, Mikie! È bellissimo. And Mrs. Dog confirmed my, admittedly colorblind, opinion that the flowers match Ms. Bella! :)

Congratulations on getting that classic P growl, at last, through all your various and wonderful combo amps.

Beautiful - now Bella needs a black blouse! ;)

Wow, even the blue flowers and other blue things match the newcomer. If I get one, I will have to find things like that to match with Burst and Tort and take a picture of it reflected in a mirror! Silliness is still here from yesterday ;).
