Uhh...yeah? And the Jazz even longer. But had Fender built this exact P-bass back in 2012, side-by-side with the Jazzer, it'd been a quick decision. The tone, even with the
rounds , is the classic sound I grew up with. Both the tone and volume controls actually offer subtle shadings, like drop the tone down and it's fat but bump it up and it growls. The neck, which was my biggest concern, has a nice satin finish on the back and is much thinner than the J's neck. It made the Jazz almost feel like a Squier Classic Vibe super-glossy neck. As soon as I get the barbed wire off (squeak-squeak) and get the LaBellas on, I'll be able to give you more on the neck. All I know is the actual differences between it and the Jazz neck is negligible. If you've balked at buying a P because you thought it was too wide and thick, don't worry about it ALERT: talking about the new Player series, not an original 60s P with the Louisville Slugger neck).
CME did a nice job with the setup too. Did I mention it's absolutely beautiful too? The maple neck works nicely with the color and even the white PG is pleasant. Okay, off to work...hang in there Recon!

Have you also taken a gander at the new Short Scale Stingrays? I've taken a shine to those, but not quite enough to actually order one. Granted, you have an absolutely fantastic full-size, but the baby rays seem pretty nice.

Have you also taken a gander at the new Short Scale Stingrays? I've taken a shine to those, but not quite enough to actually order one. Granted, you have an absolutely fantastic full-size, but the baby rays seem pretty nice.
The Sterling by Music Man Ray gets a nod for coming in daphne blue. Also gets my nod for something other than a four-in-line headstock. My preference for a 2+2 leads me toward a Hagstrom Swede (not the Super Swede).

Was able to start eating again. The Docs think the nausea was brought on by Tylenol on an empty stomach. Took some zofran (anti-nausea meds), got some fluids by mouth, and promptly slept most of the morning away. It’s been more than a decade since I was laid this low. Test results should come back in a day or two.
This made me laugh. I also have the dietary habits of a garbage disposal.
