Im sorry.................but Flea is not cool..........

Agreed. He's a weird looking nerd. And his stage presence to me is borderline annoying. (see live version of Stone Cold Bush on SNL... random humping weird "stepping on bugs" dance...)

Plus his personality bothers me. I remember when he was talking about Weird Al's "Yabba Dabba Doo" covering "Give it away." He said something like, "Yabba Dabba Doo now? That's so not clever at all, I mean, the lyrics are stupid."... "What I got you gotta get it put it in you... give it away now" Yeah... that's art.

In regards to Flea's bass lesson (and maybe a lot of live performace antics)... well you see... there's this invention called drugs... right? And I'm pretty sure flea (and most certainly river) was "on drugs" as they say.

yeah, but still. and that river guy sleept almost :p

Actually if you are referring to the video that River Phoenix was hosting with Flea... yes there's no mystery that back then Flea and River were pretty messed up during that taping...

Man, that was like 14 years ago, which was couple years before River's death (1993)... Things are absolutely different now. I've seen Flea and RHCP's with in the last 10 years and he has had his stuff together a bit more these days.

Still.............there is nothing cool or amazing about Flea, his damn bass tone is equal to some one taking a dump ...........its sounds nasty. I really dont like him. I used to , until I woke up.

easy there cap't. :p

I'm not a big fan of his either, All I was stating is that he has his sh!t together more now rather than then.

I have to say that the video of River interviewing Flea was like 'Fear and Loathing' and our bass worlds colliding... funny stuff!
