yeah it runs in the family... Oliver(his brother) is a bad ass guitarist! He gigs around here with a hip horn group, real swamp-funky...
 
While Tetsu of Laruku is my main influence and an all around, cool-looking Bass player, I have to give "mad props" to Toshiya of Dir en Grey. His looks, stage presence, and not to mention his Basslines are top tier, especially on their Macabre album. I personally think that's where his best work was laid out. Now DeG is heading down a new direction in their music and Toshiya seems to be getting pushed more into the background, but not enough to diminish his awesome stage presence and monstrous groove.
