Double Bass The Devil Makes Three

Got to see TDM3 in Detroit on Friday. I know it's not quite bluegrass, but figured this was the closest forum to post about it. If you've never got a chance to see Lucia Turino play the bass, you're definitely missing out. She doesn't just play the bass, she makes love to it.

Anyone else into Devil Makes Three? This was the second time I've seen them, I'll go every time they're in town.

I've seen them a bunch of times now - been a fan boy for quite a while. Was lucky enough to see them in Cleveland a few years ago in place about the size of my basement before they started getting bigger. They've been "on" every time regardless of venue/crowd.

Lucia makes me feel all funny inside too, though her playing isn't all that special.

Agreed, there's really nothing that special about her playing, but it's a lot of fun to watch her play. You can tell that she (and the rest of the band), are having a lot of fun.

Guitarist in one of my bands is in to DM3 big time, so we've been playing a few covers for a few years now. Fun stuff.

We play some of their stuff as well. Great rhythm in those songs, in addition to Lucia's very tight pants.

My trio in the beginning was a DM3 cover band.
Great music to learn and play.
