It's wider at the equator. So it's technically not a sphere
Spherical means it's shaped like a sphere, and does not imply that it's a perfect sphere.
Why don't you ask Slartibartfast? He designed this planet. And the first earth as well. He'll tell you it was originally supposed to be shaped like a cube, but some funding was cut during production.
No Borg cube ever made it that close to Earth (in this reality).
You're wrong (unless you're talking about one of several alternate realities in which the Borg successfully conquered Earth.)
The cube never fires on the planet, and a Borg sphere exited the cube and got close. I don't think the cube was as close as depicted in the picture. And it was the Enterprise E, not D.
You're mostly wrong.
Jar Jar Abrams is working on a version where it's a cube that fired into Earth.
