100 TBers are each going to get $5000 worth of equipment and not 1 of those TBers are Gambling...All they are doing are thinking positive !!! They will WIN !!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm sure CTbass&birdsong doesn't do any work. Bought all his (20...30?) basses with gambling money.

...I didnt buy my first lotto ticket till we started the Easter 100 thread and my attitude towad it is I am donating to the school system until we win !!! and then WE WILL START ANOTHER GROUP TO WIN SOME MORE EQUIPMENT FOR ANOTHER GROUP !!!
Especially since (almost?) everybody in the 100 said they'd give a good chunk of their winnings to some charity or another.its hilarious.
If my notes are right less than 15% were going to donate a portion to charities(which is up to them)..I plan to donate a large % and currently donate a good % now and it feels good to be able to share,,,,,, and thats one reason for the Easter 100....
At the risk of having 101 people dislike me, I think this thread is unhealthy. Of course, I also just bumped it.
Man i never owned a bass that cost more then $1300 so i think i would have some auditioning to do,but a sadowsky does sound tempting,maybe a nice fretless or a stand up bass,hmmm,let's win so i can do this for real

If I'd hit something big, I'd pick up a Roscoe Century VII - all black - fretless - ebony board, W-P-W neck, maybe a cedar back w/Maple top that would show thru a gloss black nicely...If it was in the millions, most of it would go away...to our churches, our schools, our kids, people around the world in need...there's SO many great causes to support, and having the ability to do something about it is, IMHO, one of the greatest blessings we can receive.
As for the "gambling," as long as the lotteries, raffles and contests benefit some cause (rather than a particular person), and you know your limits, there's nothing wrong with it. It's when greed takes over that it's a problem, and that's all you live for. I work in marketing and development for Catholic Schools...we're past the days of "bingo;" we're now into buying a four-digit ticket for $50 each with a top prize of a Jeep Cherokee. It would be nice if everyone made "a return to the Lord for all He's done for us" - but that ain't happenin' soon.
So as we wait in joyful hope, let's hope we know our limits..."A man's gotta know his limits....."
