I didn't even know I Would Set Myself On Fire For You was still around. A friend of mine told me about them a few years ago. Very interesting stuff.

On the emo trend subject, I've always wondered if the skinny clothes felt like someone was continuously hugging you.
Here's my emo attempt:

Am I emo enough to be in the club? Or am I just too old?
I'm pretty sure Guy Piccioto is older than you, so you're in.
Does anyone else think that girl-pants-wearers surely must have 'less to work with' than we normals? I mean, really. There must be something to that. I'd cry myself to sleep too if I could contain myself in a pair of those.
Any real insight here?![]()
Maybe I'll start an Indie Kids thread.
Nah. Indie Kid's are too cool to have their own thread. I guess I'll just go listen to some Godspeed You! Black Emperor on my way to the coffee shop....
Do not get me started on indie kids...all Fredericksburg is is Emo and Indie music. there is one (1) heavy metal group, Saint Diablo, and the rest is Twentydaysofrain or Carlos, I'm Pregnant! and other types of that sort. It is my dream to make a Doom/Sludge band called SPORE to blow the kids ear drums to smithereens.
The Indie kids infest the coffee shop and give me funny looks when i come in.

If it makes you feel any better, I like Sunn O))) and Boris almost as much as I like GSY!BE and Modest Mouse.
Too bad I'm sipping coffee wearing a ratty blazer I got at a thrift store...![]()
I should have specified that more than a few of the Indie kids are snobs...there are a large number of nice ones, but the snobs stick out and are around more.
Sounds a lot like 80s Metal. All emos should recieve a big fat punch their face. Always complaining how cruel life is to them, still living home with their parents, going to school, getting free food at the table at home, and they still whine. And when they cut themselves, they always brag about it. Wearing silly eyeglasses or having mascara all over their faces, and lets not forget thier hairstyle, its a combination of being hideous and ludicrous at the same time.
Ridiculous attitude, ridiculous hairstyle and ridiculous clothing.
Grow up, being emo is a big black spot in your life, its not an achievement.
and Finch's "What It Is To Burn" immediately come to mind.
Sweet lovely death
I am waiting for your breath
Come sweet death, one last caress
Sounds a lot like 80s Metal.
And I listen to emo music. (I Hate Myself, Saetia, Claire De Lune, fordirelifesake, I Would Set Myself On Fire For You, La Dispute, A Petal Fallen, ect)
