#5 Envika! Welcome aboard. You know, when I was first trying out T-Birds before I bought one, I was using a Goth. They look cool, there's no denying it. But I hate how that matte finish comes off the back of the neck onto your hand.

Really? I have the opposite problem--the oil in my hand gets onto the finish in a visible way. I was going to get one of the regular alder ones instead but for some reason it was less well-balanced.

Red and blue ones.

Blue one(my pic shown in the good, form-fit Epi case):

The red one I've only got the seller's photo's:

Wow, they weren't kidding when they said that Pellum Blue is much much much cooler than the musiciansfriend.com stock photo. Kinda makes me wish I went Pellum instead! :)

Your'e #6.

envika: the standard T-Birds are very imbalanced, yes. That's really my only gripe with it. I think some strap locks are in order.

i see i'm not the only one with the pellum blue t-bird.

the color's awesome, i get a lot of compliments on the color and the tone.

neck dive is an issue, but i drilled a hole and it's alright now. playing it while standing can be a bit uncomfortable, but if you have a long enough strap, it's alright.

wouldn't trade it for the world......well..maybe.

Strap Locks where the only change I made to mine, and thank god I did, I had had the old starp come off many times and almost dropped it.

Yeah, I think that actually did happen to me once. I just dropped to my knees til the song was over. It worked. It happens -all the time- during practice, but I think it only happened the once while performing. I think. :)

#7 Ricdiculous! Nice Pellum!

Pellum blue is what it is called? Didn't know that. Think mine sounds like a wool sweater but I can't seem to let it go or even sell it because no one seems to want it. I will take a club number if you want to give me one.

Waspinators! I agree with you on the high frets. Also, when you're used to Fenders that are thin at the nut, and wide in the high octaves, switching to a bass that's much wider at the nut, and much thinner in the higher octaves takes a little getting used to.

Welcome to the club#9

Sunny #10. So, you're not a big fan huh? I was turned off by Gibson/Epiphone basses for a long time just because they were so dark sounding. I perceived them as muddy, sludgy things. But now that I have one, I've come to realize that they're not just walls of sludge, but simply have a subdued, sublime personality. But on the flipside, their thickness fills out the low end of an ensemble better than anything else I've ever played. In addition, while it't true that if you want to stand out, the T-Bird is probably the worst bass in history, but if you want to blend in all covert, well then I have yet to find a better one for the task. (BTW:Wool Sweater=LOL)

Neck dive fixes?

One from the Dudepit folks:

Mine got a hole drilled into the "O" in Korea IIRC:

This white one above got sold so I could get the others.
My avatar works fine for a white one(not Epi).

Also, watch those rear bridge inserts. If they pull up as shown below, Crazy Glue gel works to fix 'em.
The white one had this problem.

Mine may have pulled up due to abuse as I punch and beat on my basses during certain parts of certain songs.

I was wondering if you can put an epi tbird neck into a warmoth tbird body?

how different is the neck pocket on the warmoth body?
