Some of you that are good with Photoshop will enjoy this. You can take actual pedals, photoshop the changes and go from there.

The object is to take two ir more of our favorite pedals and "morph" them into one ideal pedal.

I'll start,

I would like take the distortion of a Green Russian Sovtek Big Muff and put it in a Morley Power Wah Boost. Take away the Volume pedal abilty of the PWB. Features include:

True Bybass Switching place on right side switch mount.

Boost engage on left

Four detented control knobs mounted on the left side. Knobs would include:

Boost level (from PWB)
Volume, Tone and Distortion of the SBM.

I would want to move the input/output jacks to the top of the PWB.

a Q.tron, big muff (ram), with selectable sweep foot control assignable to upto 3 parameters at once and at assignable -/+ points too (say like gain of muff min <foot back> 10%, max <forward> 70%. and q tron sweep min 0% max 100%) so you can real time control gain and level of muff with intensity of Q tron at same time.

oh and made by behringer so its cheap enough to afford a few of incase i get the dodgy one (i like behringer pedals but some do feel like toys, vintage rip offs are sweet tho)

An English Muff'n and Little Big Muff in one (fairly small) box, and - since we're dreaming - with a 9V power supply. Effects could be used seperately or together.

Delay built into a wah where the delay time or repeats (selectable with another footswitch) are contolled by the expression pedal. This is probably pretty do-able by a skilled DIY effects guy.

Well, I finally threw together a passive volume knob to see if it was worth boxing up, and as far as I could tell in my limited knowledge, its as simple as throwing a pot in line... I didn't really notice any high end rolloff, so I assume that whatever "buffering" is needed is done in the 'fooger. I doubt I'll have time to put one into a box until the summer, but I'm pretty sure it ought to be fairly simple to add to a looper style box, even with true bypass and an LED... I had thought about drilling it right into the pedal, but resale value and the fact that I can free up some board space with a switch are changing my mind.

I don't know if that helps at all or if it's more trouble than its worth for you to make the box, but I'm sure most of the places that do custom bypass boxes ought to be able to add a volume knob.

+1 on all points! Any Mooger's Output Impedance 5k. A 50k linear or log taper should work perfectly for this. In fact, that's how it is done on most boxes with a volume knob!

Eric, it's not exactly what you want, but check out the Invalid Link Removed and its two expression pedal ports and *hidden feature*.

But seriously, guys, you should get into DIY! :cool:

Awesome... Thanks for the confirmation... it all seemed right, but then, I have a very limited understanding of whats going on in the theoretical end of things.

I should have a garage later this year so I can start working on crap like that! Hopefully anyhow, my special ladyfriend and I are moving in with her mom to save up money for a house right now. And if we still can't swing a mortgage after that, well then I'm gettin' me a Wal. :p

To do this, you'd need a dual-gang wah pot, in the right value(s), which is really effing hard to find. I've seen it done a lot with just delay time, though. Repeats is as simple as a footswitch...switching out one resistor for another = infinite repeats! YAY! If that's what you're thinking, it's definitely doable, and a lot easier than finding the dual-gang wah pot.

But what I really want to do it in is a Moollon Custom Wah enclosure....:eek: those things are so hot.

I want an Eventide stompbox with footpedal pitch shifter pedal. Maybe with some preset recall like the old Digitech XP-100s. And maybe a feedback control like the Whammy on Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2.
