Yeah, I love class D, very practical. Most bassists in any locale will use class D, unless they are using older gear they've had and liked, and don't see a need to fork over more $ for a lighter amp. I won't quit using class D, either. So, the SB won't go on all or maybe even most of my gigs... but it'll go on the ones where I am feeling hail and hearty and sonic quality is the top concern. I must say @rodl2005, your comments among those of some others on this thread nudged me toward taking the plunge. Combine that with a pretty good deal from Sweetwater, and 36 months zero interest financing, and I was a goner.

I completely agree, other than the Bassman 500, I've been playing a v4b exclusively and before that an SVT for a good 10years. I tried light weight amps here and there, Ampeg, gk, but nothing is like a large tube head. Anyways that's what draws me to the SB, lighter than an svt but has the versatility as the Bassman 500 I've been using. I too will use the B500 for a backup/ practice amp. I'm really looking forward to getting a large tube head back in the stable!

Was on AMS today...saw they had a blonde bassman 100t (dent and scratch) in stock.

thats the great thing i think about class D. you can throw it in your gig bag without too much effort and have it there in case your real amp goes down.

Great! And. ...should you desire. ....thanx to the SB doing 8/4/2 ohms. .. you can just use one cab. ...drive those power tubes a bit harder or add the 2nd 410 for SERIOUS clean volume.
That's what I do anyway . ...use one Bassman Pro Neo 115 and drive the Super Bassman pretty hard for some sweet grind on the vintage channel . ...but if I add the 2nd 115 PRO Neo cab.... it really is a YOOOOJ increase. ..except in the amps controls. oh and. .grit from the toobs . But I can add that with the blended drive from the 2nd channel

Congrats @Rnb4003 beautiful! But. ...please call it a Super Bassman or SB300 or sumthin. ...coz 300T was the Sunn type amp they brought out 10..15 yrs ago.
I had a 300Pro (300T or what it was called later) cool amp and some like it more than the Super Bassman . .
But I don't . ...I like this un' a lot.
Anyway. ...congrats again. Gorgeous blonde

Anyone tried their SB300 with any of the Rumble cabs? If so what'd you think of them? I'm looking for a smaller, lighter cab than my 410 for practises and small gigs, but don't want to fork out for the Neo 115. So looking at the Rumble 115. Plus I like the idea of having a cab that I can push quite hard to get some tube breakup.

I've been using a 2x10 rumble to play my SB300 through for about 6 months, and was pleased with the sound. The rumble cabs do fine while you save some scratch to up grade. That's what I've done. I found a used fender 1x15 neo for a good price, and ordered a new one from Musicians friend, they have that 20% off promotion. from what I've heard the neo's should take me somewhere near heaven. I getting some sounds using the Bassman 115 Neo, that I wasn't getting through the same Super Bassman with a Bassman 410 Neo. The Low Mids are coming through better. It's great.
