Okay but, I am requesting two dates, December 13, 1983 and October 10, 1989
Both of these dates Stevie Ray Vaughan perform in Austin Texas on Austin City Limits. To see him live with double trouble tearing it up would be amazing.
The reason for the second date is, because Reese Wynans was added to the band and his keyboard solos were just awe inspiring.

Would have been nice to see Band Of Gypsies or the Allmans at the Fillmore. Otis Redding at Monterey...heck, all of Monteray! I definitely would not be going back in time to see the Beatles. I couldn’t think of something less enjoyable than the sound of those little Vox amps being downed out by thousands of screaming little girls. I don’t blame them for quitting touring.

First stop = early 80's. Buy Microsoft stock. 2nd stop - not sure of exact timing - sell Microsoft stock, buy Apple stock.

3rd stop - just before I got married the first time. Stop myself.

4th and later stops - now that I'm a whole lot richer, heck yes, I can afford to go to a lot of concerts. In a nice car.

Going back with cash to buy old instruments relies on somone willing to give them up for bogus money with phony signatures, dates and designs.
Ill go 40 years hence to see what is collectable, come back and buy them up for my grandkids (and to see if the unified field theory and M theory have been worked out).

Plenty of coin shops have older money that isnt exactly valuable in a collectible way. Most of it can be had for a 10-20% increase.

  • I'd make sure to see Rush at least once on every single tour, something I have managed to do without a time machine since 1981.
  • Yes back in the 70's.
  • Led Zeppelin.
  • Pink Floyd on every tour from "DSotM" through "The Wall"
  • Metallica in the early club days with Mustaine and Burton, all the way through to "Master of Puppets"
  • Iron Maiden back through "The Number of the Beast" tour
  • Rainbow with Dio fronting.
  • Weather Report with Jaco
I could go on and on...

Not one person wanting to give a 16 year old Adolph Hitler a full ride to art school so he wouldn't get into politics? Maybe stop the Oklahoma City bombing? Divert American flight 11? UA flight 175? Pol Pot? Grandpa buying his first pack of cigs? SRV getting on his last flight? Dallas School Book Depository? Space Shuttle disaster?
