The Flea Bowl

In case you missed it, FLea (playing one of his orange Flea Basses) played the National Anthem at the BCS Bowl tonight. There was no leaping about and he might have been wearing a shirt. :hyper:

Could anyone tell what stack he was playing through - I couldn't see it well enough.

When I switched to the game I saw that bass (the camera was zoomed way out) and I though "what tool is playing that thing". Then the camera zoomed in and I saw it was Flea. All I could think was "lame". I personally thought it sounded like crap, and Flea looked like he was in pain playing it. Looked like he was struggling to play it.

Totally agree with you. IMO, the worst National Anthem ( besides Rosan's version ) I have heard.

I say, at least he was out there playing. Just because his name is "Flea" doesn't make him anywhere close to perfect. Give the guy some slack, John Frusciante quitting the band probably doesn't have him in the best state of mind right now. I hope one day when you're out there trying to play in front of a **** ton of people, all they can do is criticize the bass your playing and the sound it is producing.
