My first fretless should be arriving pretty soon! It's not much but it's all I need for now. Never playing a fretless before, I think it's a good Bass for the $. Ibby SR300PWF. It's lined because I'm not ready to play the guessing game yet. I just wish they made it in another color other then bright Pearl White o.0 Ironically it's also my First "Unused" Bass, so I get to enjoy the "new car smell" for the first time ever.

I know no Pic no Bass. Just excited and wanted to tell people.

Count me in. The black one (my big black girlfriend) is a KDB SlapKing. The white one's a Carvin LB70F.

My latest refinishing effort on a Wishbass. This one is primarily poplar, 34" scale. Fingerboard is ipe wood, as are the homemade bridge and nut pieces. I made the p-up cover and then veneered it and the other cover in maple to blend with the poplar and maple neck stringers.

My Banana bass by the builder of Wishbasses. Another refinish project; it's mostly mahogany, a true hollow body and I installed a K&K piezo p-up. Persimmon wood fingerboard, LaBella tapewounds and a 30" scale round out the picture.

Sorry guys, I've never done the YouTube thing and probably won't in the forseeable future. Also, I have not installed a pre-amp yet for the K&K p-up and it tends to feedback a lot without it, but since I just play it at home, it's controllable. Perhaps in the future I'll get around to posting a clip or vid. Thanks, though!

You can prevent some of the feedback by covering the sound holes. They make the rubber inserts for acoustic guitars for that purpose.

Jeepers, I just stumbled on this thread and it's one I should have joined long ago. My fretless family, left to right:
Fender Squier Vintage Modified Fretless J bass that I picked up last weekend because it sounded so darn 'Jaco', and it was on sale at GC for $239.99!

The middle is a Kramer 'The Duke' that I defretted about 17 years ago. I use the heck out of this bass as my 'take anywhere' bass. Ebanol fingerboard+Aluminum neck = indestructable!

And on the right is my main axe, a bass I built up around a Carvin neck blank about 15 years ago. Superglue covered ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl inlayed fret markers (dumb idea), Q-tuners neo pickups, and a yamaha piezo bridge, backed up with the emg 4 channel preamp.

Does this get me in the club?
