Dang. I saw that somewhere when I was looking into the Cabzone LE, but then couldn't find it. I don't know why. That looks really great, though. Might be worth the upgrade.
No, but I'd guess they model the compression and clipping characteristics of a tube power amp. This would be related to a specific tube type for a given amp.
That said, I'm now interested an a technical answer/response if one pops up.
Sure, there are many things one could model but it's not like a cabzone has a mighty cpu either 
Interesting. I've had this one on the radar for quite a while, but fell out of love with Ashdown after a debacle with the Funk Face and some mediocre customer service. The little bits of info I've been able to find out about it have made it seem like there were some functionality/reliability issues, so I'm quite interested to hear your in-depth thoughts.

My Oracle is supposed to ship this week. Perfect timing for some sessions coming up in July that I hope to use it on. I'm assuming it'll add some really nice character running into whatever DI the studio uses.
Stupid question time.....But what is a "power amp sim"? I get a cab sim because it's static (for lack if a better word). But amps have so many variables like input gain and eq. How can a snapshot of an amp be effective?

My guess is that it models compression and distortion characteristics of tube power sections. I'm no expert, but I assume a 6L6 or 6550 or KT-88 power tube behaves different than a 12AX7 pre tube when pushed.

The CAB m+ also has a preamp sim, to model a preamp tube, and a 5 band semi parametric EQ, so it theoretically could be a stand alone rig simulator.

So you know how people say that big all-tube amps have a "power amp distortion/overdrive" when you crank the master, a sound that cannot allegedly be achieved with hybrid amps? That's the sound a power amp drive pedal is supposed to emulate. As @monsterthompson said, presumably this is partly due to the fact that tube amp power sections use different tubes than are typically used in preamps.
