The Great Jeezy Bass Off!!!

I just finished putting together this Harley Benton short scale.. i modded it once with new pickups and pick guard, i just got done moving the split coil up a bit and added a mm style humbucker And of course had to make another pick guard.

I based the pickup placement off my kit bass (Loosely) so it should be an interesting comparison

now i just need to decide what to play without embarrassing myself too much:)

Dope

I also love those gibson speed knobs on the ray

I switched from parallel to series on the humbuckers half way through.

It's funny how much bigger the MM body is. Haha. It's much more clear than the P bass, tone wise. More high/high mid. But, that goes either way depending on music style. It's great that they don't sound so similar, that you can't really tell the difference.

First time seeing this thread that’s approaching two years old. This type of idea has actually been on my list to do for my YouTube channel and will get on it with what I have currently in my stable.

For now I’ll leave these two Schecters I had the pleasure of reviewing.

Right on doggy! Yeah, it's had a hard time catching on. I update it whenever I get a new bass.

At the invitation of @JeezyMcNuggles, here is my submission!

nothing fancy, they’re all sub $300 basses, but it’s all I need.

Hella word!

Right on bro. I love your basses though. Price doesn't mean anything besides what you want to pay for.

I've never heard a bad pickup. Only different.

Maruszczyk Jake, chambered, 3 way switch, stack tone+volume, pickups are Kloppmann P and MEC single.

Quick audio sample, recording by phone mic. Amp is a BB800 completely flat through a PJB C4. Very transparent. Strings are TI Flats. Tone and Volume 100%.

Both pickups, MEC, Kloppmann:

Awesome.

Man, that is a big ol pickup up there. It sounds great dude. Real open
