I suck, but nobody really notices
Well hello there funk junkies. Jeezy McNuggles here with another fun filled project. Except this time, you are all welcome (and most definitely encouraged) to join in. I made a video with my amp flat, gain and volume untouched, while running through my basses one by one. Now, it's your turn!

Rules and Regulations: This thread is for non DI recordings. Videos only. Phone recordings, or micd and mixed, whatever you got is good enough.

Here's mine.

Let's see some collection comparisons people.

There will be another thread probably tomorrow with unproduced DI run-throughs. But, this one is microphones only. Have fun with it

Dang, I wish I had two basses to compare!

I sold a gorgeous Stingray a year ago simply because I haven't touched nor wanted to touch another bass since I bought this Mike Lull two years ago. Well, I have a nice ESP fretless, but not quite the same. I had decided that I'm a one-bass guy, but I'm getting the urge for another Stingray.

I'll just have to live vicariously through all you guys posting the comparison videos here. With envy, of course...:roflmao:

Let the games begin!...:D

EDIT: some of the best bass tones I've ever heard have been though a DI (any DI, really. Cheap or otherwise) straight to any simple recording software on any device.

You know what? DI is welcome. If that's all you can do, go for it. It's really just a thread where I'm urging you all to play and compare your basses side by side. So, why not? I do push for flat, unproduced tone though.
Bump

This is through a DI but not any DAW. Just Interface, computer and photobooth.
I was impressed it worked that way!
Ibanez and glarry both with dragonfire phat pole pickups
