Hobart makes very good scales, this looks like a newer one ... I bought my Hobart around '89-90, when we were racing sprint cars, and every component that was put on/in the car was scaled for selection based on weight (lighter was faster), or for balancing rotating mass in the engine (to last) ... it started out life as a butchers scale, also calibrated for legal trade .. simple, digital and accurate ... one thing I did learn though, is that it is very important that they be sitting level ... mine has a built in bubble level for all four corners ... I have bought a lot of basses that arrived substantially different than what the seller said they were ... most heavier, and one lighter (still have that one) ...
That's, okay, I will let you send me the T-40,and I can return it once I am finished testing it in a year or so...
How about instead I send you a photo of me eating tacos with my T-40?
The Ray was my guess to be the heaviest, by virtue of it being maple, but the body is slightly larger and thicker than the Fenders.
True, (Im not a "Fender" guy so I don't know) but I heard that some Fenders were ridiculously heavy
I own a 1971 Ampeg Dan Armstrong lucite that weighs about 13.0 lbs. and it's 3/4 scale.
Except that between 8.0 lbs and 10.0 lbs....is a world of difference. I envy you if you think the difference is negligible.
Kramer 450 B weighs in at 13.25. Stupid heavy with added bonus neck dive.

I hardly notice the weights. My fender zone seems pretty light though, I have a spector legend 5 classic pro, probably heavy. I dont know though, never bothers me, I kinda like a heavy bass, lets me know I have it on, feels solid. Ive worn tool bags all day long for 27 years though, probably 20 to 30 pounds of stuff depending on what Im doing, so just used to it i guess.
I have a t-40. I got it about three years ago. It is so heavy. It never comes out if the case. Not only is it heavy, it does not sound great.
I was at GC today and handled an insanely heavy vintage Gibson les Paul bass. One of the workers told me it weighs 24lbs. I thought he was joking but he says they weighed it.
Maybe it has some shielding in it, like lead plate from and old plutonium plant.

+1. There are some people with back or shoulder problems and some without. Some people play long gigs and some do not. Some find a heavier bass uncomfortable and some don't. What puzzles me is when people can't understand how anyone could be different than they are.
I tried out one of the new Squire tele bass basses the other day. While its a cool bass for 300 bucks it's crazy heavy like 10 lbs or more. The funny thing is it's basswood not alder.
