there's my baby. It's a SR1006LEBP (limited edition burled poplar). She has custom bartolini pickups, and a Vari-mid 4 band preamp. I don't mean to be biased or anything, but this is the most beautiful Ibanez I've seen, others have said so as well.

She plays like a dream and I'm never giving her up.

Here's my BTB.... sweeeeet bass! I am verey impressed with the BTB line of basses. I also have an EDA905 that is a blast to play but, i just don't have any good pic's . Ibanez rawks!

Its a little beat, but its my first bass...sound could be better though. A little too sterile compared to my SX Jazz.

I had my share of Fenders. Some I wish I still had but others I disliked. The last one being an american Jazz Standard with that lousy S-1 switch. The Japanese and American vintage series are still good but the rest are not what they once were. I now love Ibanez. Since the quality has improved tremendously they sound, play, and feel much, much better.

I don't know the exact year, but It is the older model with the non-diamond control knob layout... Actually, I'm too lazy to go into the other room to check the serial number. I plan to add either Bartolini pickups and pre or SDD BassLines... Havn't decided yet.

Imo, the diamond knobs look like crap. The 'in a line' knobs on the BTB's aren't much better, but yours kicks. That's one of my fav. knob shapes. Congrats on the badass gift.

Thanks for the kind words man. I could care less about control knob layout, hell if I had it my way, there wouldn't be any knobs visable from the front... As for the pointsettas, well, those two poctures were taken courtesy of the seller. I'd love to whip out a few more pics of my own, but my digi lacks mucho mucho, and the good one in my house is lost, and my GFs Olympus was stolen.

Here are two of my three Ibanezes, my '824's: a Musician and a Roadster. I don't have any pix of the ash/maple Roadstar II RS440.

My first bass was an Ibanez, and I loved it, even when I got "better" basses. Since then I've had a bit of a love/blah with them. Some of them I love and some are a bit 'blah'.

Mu instrustor has a 406, but his has EMG's in it. I prefer barts and basslines, but the EMG's are ok too. I might buy a bartolini 4 band for my Ibby because I have a scratchy pot (bass/treble) and I have to replace the whole preamp to fix it.
