Here's my SR305DX. I have an absolute blast playing this thing!
BTW, why is it almost all of the other SR305DX's I see only have 3 knobs where mine has 4?! Any ideas? Thanks

That's a cool looking Precision! Check out the strange grain of that ash. That's going on Ebay for $225. Wish I had the scratch ^_^;;
That's the best looking lawsuit bass I've ever seen. It's too bad they couldn't have matched the ash pieces better, but the grain is fabulous!Marcus Alan said:

I love that last bass, Marcus... Very sweet. Ibanez made some sweet lawsuit basses... unfortunately I (personally) hate their normal explorer bass. with the mega P next to the neck and the jazz pup next to the bridge. Not a fan. And Destroyers i"m not too huge on.

I actually really like the simplicity and effectiveness of the 400 pre-amp. But, I recognize I'm probably in the minority on that. [which I guess is probably why they stopped making them]

They're all great, but the one that is staying is the one that got me started on the whole Ibanez trip in the first place....the "little green pitbull".
I don't know if my 400 is a fluke or what, but it can hold its own alongside the mighty SB-1. Pretty potent stuff!
Discontinued, naturally. Waaay too unsophisticated for the "more-is-better" crowd. To be honest, if it were'nt for its kooky looks, I never would have noticed it either.

I wish they made a single pickup, 400-preamp SRX with no pickguard. But, as you mention, the more-is-better crowd will see to it that only basses with 7 pickups and 42 knobs sell.

Ibanez is a volume company. I don't think they gave the SRX400 (and the RKB for that matter)enough time to catch on. They weren't moving enough units so they pulled the plug.
I think they did a really crappy job marketing the SRX400 and the RKB.
