I joined the Ibanez club today with BTB 505. No pic and I haven't played it through my amp yet... but soon. Looks damn good and plays well. I love it.

+ 1, add one more to the long list of Ibby lovers and now...owners!!! Finally paid off my EDA900, helluva good find, sounds simply phenomenal. Sooooo many tone capabilities, gotta love the peizo's. Super fast neck and of course, the comfort is the stuff legends are made of. 1 up on Ibanez for creating such beautiful, well crafted and great sounding instruments, my EDA has a home with me for life, just might have to bury it with me, as long as there is room for my first bass, that will always be my baby. Will post EDA pics soon.

Hey, I too own an '85 Musician, and while it takes some tweaking for me to get a sound I'm happy with, I think it it a great bass. I'm not too crazy about the EMGs on it, replacement parts are damn near impossible to find, and it weighs a hefty amount, but it's a great underappreciated bass that can often be found for a good price. Damn funky looks, too. Do you have any better-lit pictures of yours? I'm curious as to whether it's black or dark green in color. Anyways, enjoy your new bass, and let us know how it works out for you.

Now, because I can't resist, pictures of mine:

Finally got my camera out and took pics of my family. As usually happens, most pics are triggered by new arrivals and my new baby is a Lakland, but grandfather blues is an '81 Ibanez Roadster 924.

Probably should have given it a clean first, but I didn't want to rub off all that mojo! Strings are almost as old as the bass and it sounds great for that down south dirty blues.

Yea, I got myself a brand new Ibanez sr505 - not the red variety, its more like super dark brown/mohagany - on "sale" (know the owner) for $450.

Great bass very playable, but somewhat quiet.
Anyway, like any purchase I make, I usually find something that I like better after I purchase something.

and that would be the SRX705.

My local guitar center had the LAST one on clearance for $300.

I plugged it in and thought it was fantastic. I liked the srx neck better than the one on the sr505.

But, oh well.

I still got a good deal on my sr505 though!

i forgot to upload a pic - here it is!

Finally! Someone with a Soundgear as dark as mine. Haha. Around here, and just about everywhere else I've looked, all of the SRs are the red colour.

That's the colour that I thought I was getting when I ordered it, but then it showed up like yours.

I like it more with the dark colour, anyway. :hiding:

Almost bought the one above on Ebay but I bought the 94' ICB300 I'm playing in the pic a few weeks earlier and my wife was giving me the hairy eyeball when I told her I wanted the Destroyer too. I can't blame, she's cool enough with me having 4 basses & 2 heads!!

I've owned an RB800, SR800 & an EX Series and always like Ibanez. Don't like many of the newer ones but in the
80's they were pretty awesome.
