The importance of proper string action

Mach-5, thanks for your reply. I'm currently playing with what would be considered typical lowish medium string action with a little scoop in the fingerboard. I want to try janek gwizdala higher string action. I'm guessing neck relief is less important with the higher string action so I can straighten my truss rod? And I'm also guessing I should leave the nut action we're currently is.
