I own several basses and my Ken Smith (Black Tiger) is used in rotation with my other basses, as was my Tiger Maple (sold it). My Stambaugh 5'er bass is 34 scale with 24 frets and 18mm spacing, very comfortable bass to play. Check out the PRS Grainger basses, far more tricks up sleeve. IJS
Any Burner 5 owners help me out here? I've got a 5-string Burner Custom (quilted maple body, 5 piece maple/walnut neck) that I found on TB, it had been defretted but I bought knowing that. I had it refretted when it arrived in the UK but it seems that a fair amount of wood was taken off the fretboard during the defret, and consequently I've never been entirely happy with it.
Anyway, long story short I've decided to have the fretboard replaced and have it restored back to factory condition. To that end, can someone help me out and measure the depth of their fretboard, so I can have the new one done to the exact same measurements? Thanks.

This beauty was sold to a customer about 20 years ago. Fortunately we agreed on me getting 1st dibs if he ever wanted to sell it.

Occasionally do regular seaside/ shipboard gigs and din want to use any of the nicer
(Ken Smith/ Modulus/ Armen) 5's as the sweat/ salt water/ air/ blowing sand sent me
into freak mode.so picked up a Sterling By Musicman Ray 35CA Doesn't sound/ play like
the afore mentioned but build quality and sound are good and I can sleep at night.

You need to sell some of your basses!! What you got?
Nothing compared to some, but the bulk of funds goes into Sound/ lighting.

Right!!!! SMH!!! A very nice collection of basses you got there!!! I'm impressed that you have both 4 and 5 stringers, too. I've been tempted to get a 4 string, but I've been a 5'er from the start and don;t know if I will adjust to it.
Your sound/lighting must be off the charts!
There are numbers being issued, but I'm not certain who is managing them. This thread might be a spin off from and older one.

Actually, after looking back through this thread, there are no club numbers being issued. This club is open to anyone who owners a Ken Smith, although it's a very slow moving thread. Not sure what's up with that! Maybe we Smith owners are too busy playing our wonderful bass(es) to socialize in TB.
I think I used the serial number from my White Tiger, which I sold and can't verify, as my club number.
EDITED: Actually, the previous thread was issuing numbers, but for whatever reason stopped during this thread. So, I'm at a loss as to what happened. Maybe this isn't a sanctioned club thread(?) - whatever that means...

In the process of attempting to contact those with KS numbers in their sig.
Vision started The Ken Smith Club thread. Sent pm. Maybe it doesn't matter as
it's rather childish, but social conformity/ acceptance being en vogue etc...

I got your PM but wanted to reply here too so everyone could see. I had to go back a ways to find the info, Ken Smith club member numbers were being given out in the original KS club thread.

I bet!! I also notice the Wyn, Stambaugh, Roscoe and Sadowsky club threads are slow moving as well, but you can't even keep up in the Praise and Worship Bassist Club!!!
