The Kramer Club

I'd like to join the Kramer club, please send me a number.

Here is my Kramer XL 8 8-String.

The cool thing about it is that it's almost perfect! There are no chips on the body, the chrome aluminum etc.. is all in excellent condition.

And after having to sell my Fender Jazz recently because of finances, I really missed having a jazz type bass. I just won this Pioneer Double J on ebay yesterday for $158 (thank goodness for Christmas money!!). Can't wait to get it. It will go great with the Pioneer Special.

I was watching that auction and thinking who was the lucky b*stard who got it. Now I know!
Do these bass guitars sound much hotter than 80s Fender models?
I think these were quite underrated because they weren't active in a era (the 80s) that was about active basses or custom made, leaving these in no-one's earth.

I wish I could tell you how it sounds. I actually took it completely apart to clean it and threw out the strings before I thought about seeing how it sounded. I have some to put on but am waiting until I can get a luthier friend of mine to install a new nut on it before I string it back up. The nut that came on it looks like it is made out of Rosewood or something. I have never seen a wooden nut on an electric bass before. I am going to have a bone nut installed. The body is seriously beat up but the neck is great. Like Fender does, let's call it a Kramer Pioneer relic:bassist: Anyway, the price was right in my opinion. I like it.

Count me in. Dayglow pink / orange Striker 700ST bought new in 1989. Still gets played every Sunday in Church.

Very versatile bass with its active P/J setup. Its never let me down, although it is a bit on the heavy side (I'm not getting any younger)

Are we doing numbers? I make it something like this:

#1 - 2x4strgkramers
#2 - davkane
#3 - jordacr
#4 - jazzbo58
#5 - rrybicki
#6 - TimboZ
#7 - sozo
#8 - Crass!
#9 - gbsmith71
