Maybe, it put the p pickups out of phase? I don't think so, because the Spector pickups only have one set of leads coming off of them... and they are both connected together.. if that makes any sense. Or maybe its something really cool, like a Mega Fuzz boost, such as on an alembic.

Maybe it's a "Producer switch", for when the producer wants a different bass tone and you don't. Just flip a switch and all of a sudden the producer is happy. I'll definitely open 'er up and see what's what...although, I won't know what I'm looking at....I had my roomie solder my Jaguar back to life.
