The Kramer Club

Regarding the ebay model, it looks to me like a defret. I don't think I've seen any fretless models from the 86-89 models. Kramer Spectors were available as fretless, but haven't seen any fretless Kramers from this era. Given that it was most likely a defret, I'm on the fence if the painjob is original as well.

thanks spade, I had a momentary lapse of brainpower. ( Kids call it a brain fart ) :)

It definitely is a de-fret. Kramer didn't offer any forum bass as fretless. Spectors, sure.... but those were also THE nicest thing Kramer ever made. :smug:

That ugly Paint job is aftermarket. If it was done by a factory painter, I.E. Kline or someone, he would have signed it near the neck cavity.

Actually, the Forum I wasn't too different from a Spector other than a few less frets and a plastic nut and a lack of figured wood, but otherwise very similar to the solid color NS-2 models.

That, and Forums were made by ESP, while All the American Spectors were entirely hand made in Neptune, NJ.

I wonder how much my Forum Four with EMG's sounds like a Nice Spector? I don't know, i've played a few of the cheaper stuff with dual humbuckers, but never a nice NS-2.

The Forum I is almost exactly like an NS-2, although 99.99999% of that is in the EMG P/J pickups.

So i've got two Kind Of Spectors then. :hyper:

hey BEN, your F4 is ugly and sounds like dirt, sell it to me to spare you any more embarassment ok?

OK, sure, here, lemme sell you it for less than what i paid on it.... help me get it out of my house :D

ya right...
