I don't know why the serial would be so significant to anyone. It's a plain old Korean unit and they made 1/2 a million of them. However, giving you the serial means nothing to me so when I get home tonight, I'll take a pic and replace it with the one that is in the ad. Perhaps you think this was your old one or something and want to buy it back for sentimental reasons?

In any case, sure I'll PM you when I swap the pics around.

I have owned mine since 1994. I KNOW what I like, and what I do not like about these, and they only made 9999 of them in EACH Style, and there Are differences it would take me a while to explain.
AA and AB are TOTALLY different.
Early AA and Late AA Are different
ALL AB are Later than AA, and they are not
SET the same, neck to body, you cannot transfer from one bass to the other and have it all RIGHT. I have said enough. They are also Solid wood body.

well now this is a switch I never knew Aerostars were solidwood...

Kramer Korean basses of the Aerostar line are ALL plywood. I have had 7 of these things in 20 years and every one is plywood just like this red one. The headstocks and stickers were the only differences from 86-87 and then 87-89 which dictated AA/AB/ACxxxx and no more were made after 89, then musicYo came around and the cheap Striker bolt-ons were lam bodies. ( yes I still have one of those also ) Honestly, YOU NEED TO LOOK ON VINTAGEKRAMER.COM, and not rely on LuLu’s guitar shop for your info. I have swapped necks between the different headstock styles/years with no mods at all, just bolt it on and play, perfect tight pockets and no issues. Look at my other auction with the Charvel body and the ZX70 neck..perfect fit...why? because the pockets are all cut the same. this isn't a Allparts neck trying to fit on a Warmoth body dude.
Ed, I’m gonna save you the trouble of placing a bid, ( IF you were even going to bid ) and I’m blocking you today because your whacked dude, and I don’t need the ******** of you harassing me if there is a scratch I didn’t disclose in my ad, or if the string tree is black and not chrome and you get pissed and you try to return it “ Since YOU know what you want”, this one IS NOT gonna be for you.

well that ebay chat was short lived from my post yesterday, the bass sold I'm happy..

is that why I'm posting today?...nope

ok so I find this nice red righty 700st to add to the Kramer kollection, good deal and all but UPS must have lost it because the trak# still shows no hops from point of billing from the guitar store, so I'm gonna get a refund and they will get UPS to pay them... becasue either the UPS driver didn't scan it on purpose and stole it ( what for on a 100 bass ), or it never made it to the scanners in the warehouse for the first hop on the trak system.

so I'm bummin right?....nope

because when I think all is lost yesterday I see a white 700st in lefty. I mean can you believe that? what are the chances ..so I bought it because her marketing tactics with this description was hilarious and after I pm'ed her and chatted she honestly didnt know what it was but it was priced accordingly :):

This bass is number 9 of the Focus 7000 series...its serial number is SE 7009 from the neck bolt plate. It says Neptune NJ USA, has 21 frets, with 2 offset J pickups and one long P pickup near the bridge. All of them say "Specialized" in gold italic letters on black plastic pickup covers..

Ohhh.... Specialized pickups... i wonder if they are made in france???! :D

Also.. you do know, that bass is a SE serial number... not a SB.. or SC... or SS..... are you SURE that is what YOU like???? Because I know what I like, and Kramers changed SOOO much during their short run....!!!!

I never looked at the serial of the Striker to see if it's A or S or whatever. I'll have to do that and the Forum, I think it's an XA

I have the same bass in black. It's great, and loads of fun to play :)

Got mine in a pawn shop for £100 ($160) bargain!

I finally got the pink 700st. It's in pretty good condition, but the pink is like my charvel pink, changes color depending on the angle in the light.

I'll wipe it down and set it up cause the strings are too high for me and someone magicmarkered the spector on the pickups so they just look black. the serial is SE and 4digits on the plate.

well I guess when I get the white lefty 700st, this one's up for sale...very heavy plywood, heavier than my series10 plywood. great sound ( if your into passives ) -- I took the cover off because I thought the knobs were wired wrong...nope TWO tones/vol and the switch. makes for an interesting sound when the switch is in the middle. The nicest thing about this deal is I got a really nice SKB case to hold the lefty when it comes :)

i took a quick look also on the VKF and although they dont have listings for a 700, only 710/720, yep it says the same thing. The lefty won't be that way for more than a day, it's getting preamped anyway since there are already 4 holes in the body.

and I guess the best choice of color for this unit would be light plum, not exactly pink or purple, something in between. this weekend I'm gonna bring all the remaining units out and take a pic since a lot has changed in 4-6 months.

man I'm up to 4 Kramers again :) 1- F3/2-700st's/1-striker

KOREAN PLYWOOD RULES!!!

Forum 1's and 2's were considered "American Series" Even though they were exactly the same asides from the inlays and a few small things like that.

I don't get why there is tape on the neck plate... "it fell off..."... uhhh, what?
