The Lefty Union... Revived!

Sign me up, I'm a lefty who plays righty. I also played in a band with 2 other lefties. One was a drummer, the other was a keyboard player.

Also I work as a software developer and I've noticed an unusual number of left handed people at work. I've been to meetings where the lefties outnumber the righties.

I was also introduced to a new term there I had never heard, a sit down lefty. A sit down lefty being someone who does intricate work when sitting down left handed, like writing. But when it comes to sports, they play right handed.

Except for playing bass, I do every thing left handed. When I started I imagined that playing right handed would be an advantage since I figured the fingering of the notes whould require more dexterity than plucking/picking.

Some other good-looking egocentric weirdo already took the initiative... [cough][cough]lug[cough][cough]. :p

You could PM me for something creative if you want, but it'll take me a bit to think of something good. If you're clever enough, you can probably add on a better title than what I can come up with.

I have a Schecter Stiletto Elite 5

Great bass! Well made, comfortable and a powerful, dark sound.

Later this year I will be building a Jazz 5. It will be completely opposite tonally. Ash body, Maple board. passive single coils.

Hello, I'm Eric, and I'm a lefty...

(not to be confused with leftist,which I definitely am not!)

I play right-handed, and do almost everything else left. Interesting comments about the "sit-down lefties"...funnily enough, I used to do all my finest detail work on my model planes and tanks, etc. with my RIGHT hand! :confused: Go figure! If I was painting details I'd use my right hand, if I was painting camo patterns or whatever, I'd use my left.
