I love all basses. I realize that there are different needs for different gigs, projects or budgets. Each bassist has a highly personal set of requirements or desires and I only hope that everyone finds the bass for them. I know there are alot of open minded individuals here, but then there are a few who like to spoil an otherwise good conversation by uniformed arguments or by just plain being rude and unaccepting. This is a great community and we should support each other and celebrate our differences.
I don't beleive that there is one bass for everyone. I also have been realizing that there isn't one bass for me. I have had my refin 1959 P bass for many years and it has become my 'main' bass for the bulk of stuff that I've played. My style is changing and my tastes are getting much more diverse, so a few years ago, I started expierimenting with as many basses as I could get my hands on.
Now, I am just as likely to play my old P bass as I am my Skjold. I am GASing for an Alleva Coppolo 5 string P and a 60's Gibson non-reverse Thunderbird.
I'm starting this thread for a friendly conversation on all basses. In this thread no one bass is better than the next.
So, anyone else here love ALL basses.
