The Mandalorian - TV series

Is anyone else watching this series? I've seen three episodes so far, and I dig it.
The music is kind of funky in spots and doesn't really fit to the show in my opinion, but it is different and sort of unique, so it's actually cool.
Now I know why there is this baby Yoda craze going on.

Yeah, it's not bad. The bounty hunter with a heart theme hasn't won me over yet, but I like it enough to keep watching.

My point is that it's hard to connect with a character when you can't see their facial expressions. But they make it work.

I'm just more than tired of them trying to wrong more out of the Star Wars universe. SW was great because it had great characters. The story itself wasn't that unique.

The more they try to shovel under the umbrella, the less interest I have in any of it.

I've been home sick for a couple of days, so I signed up for a free trial of Disney plus and watched the first 6 episodes. I liked it. Almost every episode has something that's a little hard to swallow logically, but that's OK, it's still fun. The episode with Gina Carano seemed exactly like an episode of Kung Fu, or any of a number of western shows. I felt like I had seen that exact story many times, but it was so well executed that I liked it anyway.

One question though: everyone calls the character "Mando". Is that his name, or is is just short for "Mandalorian", like "Aussie" is short for "Australian"?

How's Bill Burr in it? Is it just a cameo a recurring character? Does he sound like he's from Massachusetts in it?

Mando is like Aussie. His real name is Dyn Jarren.

Mandalorians are a fictional people associated with the planet Mandalore.

He's probably has the biggest speaking role in the episode. He sounds like himself.
