Of course there's a season 2. It's their product. They have to give anyone who subscribed month to month and cancelled after the season ended an incentive to re up.

This show about a guy with a garbage can on his head has better storytelling and a more interesting protagonist than anything else ever labeled Star Wars.Plus, it got a lot better reviews than the last movie.

I watched the first three episodes with my wife and kids on New Year’s Eve. Super disappointed. By a few minutes into the second episode, I was playing on my phone.
For various reasons, I wasn’t in a super great mood (namely, I quit drinking early last year, and this was my first stone cold sober NYE in probably 20 years), so I’m gonna give it awhile and try again. That said...
I don’t like baby yoda.
It seems to me that it's not really made for kids. But I could be wrong. It's more like a spaghetti western set in space.
I agree, and I like spaghetti westerns. I don’t remember a lot about the show, aside from it being really predictable, like the opening bar fight. Also, that I thought of Mongo from Blazing Saddles every time they said Mando.
And also the incredibly annoying baby yoda.
He also mentioned possibly spin off series for other characters from the show.
