A Phil Jones BG-400 paired with a PJB C4 does right by me. Added an Elf for the C4 while the BG-400 and I were in two different places. Added a PJB Cab 27 just for the Elf so the C4 can be back where it belongs. Two very different sounding rigs to my ear.

Good morning, everyone! Coffee is on.

Another gray and dismal morning. I've already ridden to the store and back: I needed milk for my coffee. Mmm... coffee!

I never made it to the Orange Peel last night: I simply couldn't afford it this week. Tonight is the BlueHaus, where I get free food and drink. Bonus!

I'm still deciding which bass to bring, probably Jenny, the hot rodded shorty. She has such wonderful frap. My feet are doing OK at the moment, so I may even stand tonight!

But not if I bring Ivy, she's a heavy beast.

I've done that, in US and Canada, and it worked quite well. It doesn't work as much here, as many walls are thick stone/concrete. My exterior walls are almost a meter thick! The horn trick works better for me.

Coolio! The threads mention only basses with scales between 23" and 26". My mini is 20.5", and the strings described are longer than the bass! Not that the mini needs strings yet. I've only played it once at the jams, and twice here at home. I have time to research this before I need new strings. If ever.

When you see the photographer is having fun, you know it's a good shoot.

I own a Statement Piece that turned out to be a bit of a distraction. It's a large Mount Shasta serpentine pendant on a necklace of seraphinite beads. It's a bespoke piece. And it got snagged in my dress. Half the shoot is with the Statement Piece and half is without (after we got myself untangled).

Solstice Eve is the only bass I took, and took only the PJB BG-400. And a (bass) guitar stand. Don't know why I felt that was a necessary prop? Didn't fire up the amp, just pantomime played.

There's a lemonade stand not far down the street from the studio. A pretty good one, in fact. So good that I was there twice Tuesday with two different friends. They fly an Irish flag and American flag at the promenade. Went there first after the shoot for a glass of wine. Then went back for dinner with another friend. Guinness is poured decently at this lemonade stand. For dinner I opted for a shoe fly pie porter. Interesting.

The photographer will supply the link for me, and I do with it as I wish. Got a Website to rebuild. Well, two, actually. And get this ball rolling ....

Sorry for the delay Nouniquename, welcome to the club, where we are so mediocre that we hardly notice when the doorbell rings. If you're looking for a number it's 1109, the same for all members. Please feel free to share any anecdotes highlighting your mediocrity. If such a convolution of terms like "highliting" and "mediocrity" can even make sense.

This is such a great picture! You look like you're having a great time, and that is always a wonderful thing. Solstice Eve looks great with that rustic leather strap, and the stone really ties the room together. Mostly, you look like someone I'd hire to play bass!

Looking forward to hearing how your tiny bass quest goes. I also went back and forth between the SmallGuitars and Corsair. I did notice that SG has more positive reviews, so maybe something to be said there. Plus, they have daphne blue (swoon)!
