Anyone out there know if there is a big difference in tone with the optional Chrome Brass Bridge?
I had HS brass on my Marcus V...well I had more sustain but it sounded less organic, less "tone"...I think HS bridge is better for fret less instruments...
last year I had bridge upgrade adventure on my Fender Marcus V...after I read your post I changed bridge on my M5V. I put there Fender dlx. bridge...let you kow later how it sounds in band...

I just think Hipshot-A/Brass is to massive/too heavy...I think Fender or Shaller bridges (maybe BadAss) will work better ...

SPEC: Mike Lull M4 "5A Quilted Maple/Bird's Eye Maple" 4 st. bass w/case Here is an absolutely great sounding and playing used 4 string bass. yes it is came from Bass NW, and the bass is come from Mr Mike Lull hand from factory, is a consignment sale by NW.
thankyou , i am also had a big surprise when the bass arrived, dead mint condition and great fret work, the top finishing is beauty and had a hot tone by bart preamp and lindy pickup
Great looking bass. Coincidentally, Gelb Music has a used one in inventory that, other than being a five-string, looks very similar. It's a monster sonically, too.
