The Mike Lull Club Part 2

Bloody hell this bass is insane. Never heard that extreme focus on a fender-style instrument before. As close to synth bass-tightness you can get.. Still having a hard time with the 35', but it's getting better..

Oof. Can I ask why you haven't gigged it? Same electronic spec as my alder/rosewood one...which sounds so good I don't miss the low B. Lull four-string basses might just be the sweetspot, and I bet yours is no exception. Good luck with the sale, but if it's not strictly a financial concern, I'd strongly recommend gigging it at least once. That way, you'll know for sure. We've all sold instruments and later regretted it, and this seems like it might fit that category.

Its nothing about the tone/playability, that's all top notch just what I want in an active jazz. I play at some pretty sleazy places, and I've been paranoid about my baby. I would keep it as a recording bass, if I did any serious recording (I don't). yeah, trust me, I've considered how I might regret it.

I've had a few gigs with my new Lull V4 bass and Genz Benz Streamliner 900 amp with the Uber 4x10" cab, and that setup has been amazing! The bass practically plays itself, and the Genz Benz amp/cab is unbelievable. I think if I can get a Lull M5V to compliment my V4, and two of the Genz Benz Uber Quad cabinets, my ideal setup will be complete

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Been busy engaged in some other hobbies, namely the two-wheeled kind. Anyway, been experimenting with different strings on the T5 lately and it seems like I prefer the sound of nickel better. Tried a set of DR flats and they were too thumpy. TI JF345's were jaut tad too short, but sounded interesting. Stainless sounded too edgy. Picked up a set of DR Nickel Lo Riders and with a few amp tweaks, I'm doing okay now. Been running through an Aguilar DB750/NV610 rig. Rock in its most absolute basic form (unless some can loan me $4k to get an Orange AD200 rig).

Anyway, got some housekeeping done and have the new club member list updated:
