I had a duo gig the other weekend. Acoustic guitar/vocal and bass. I had the Lull P4 and the small rig out. It just worked so well.

The P4 is just the perfect gigging bass. Any type of music. Any type of venue. It's just plug and play. And the small rig consists of a GK MB800 and Bergantino AE112.

On a side note, I'll be dropping a Sadowsky pre into my M5V as soon as they have some back in stock. The Aguilar that's in there now is a good sounding pre but I'd like it to be a little tighter in the low end.

That's funny, I had never heard of Guthrie prior to the Aristocrats. The bass player is Bryan Beller, a big Lull endorser.

Quite the opposite for me as I'm no expert in Mike Lull's basses.
Mr. Beller is a phenomenal player though and I should have known about him sooner.

I run passive all the time except for when the situation cries for the pre. (Which is a Bart)

Have a brand new mv4 with ash body, maple neck. Plays like a champ however I have a dead spot with little sustain on the G string, 8 fret (Eb). I love this bass and got a fatfinger sustain clamp coming, anyone else have a similar issue on their lull? just curious. thanks

My advice would be to fire the sax player and stop playing in Eb. LOL. I keed, I keed.

On a more serious note, you might try a string change and see if that has any effect. It probably won't, but you never know when a bum string might induce a symptom like this.
