i dont blame you. if i just dropped that much coin on a bass and i wasnt sure about something, i'd be asking too.
Thanks again. I also emailed Lull's service department at the same time I posted my first post, and already got a reply (they echoed your statement). Fast customer service...this is looking good.
mike and his shop are good people. i've spent some time at his shop numerous times and he's spoke with me at length about his build practices and why he prefers certain things over the other. havent been there in a while. need to make a trip again and try out some basses. been thinking about going the high-end route and getting one of his p-basses.
I am very impressed with the M5V. Its the fretless one that was in the classifieds last week. I traded an NYC Sadowsky 4 for it. I love my Sadowsky that I still have, but I'm liking the Lull a lot too. I just put a '69 precision in the classifieds looking to trade someone for a Lull P5
Just got in from an afternoon gig, crowd was about 50 Harley riders and was the first time playing out with this band. It's CR and R&B cover band. Took the P-4 with Fralins with me, and it just killed all afternoon. Me a very happy camper.

Gigged my newly acquired V4 today, and other than the wrong notes I hit (one of those days today) the bass sounded fantastic. The Fralins really give a sweet tone.
I notice that most of the M5V's are 35" scale length, but it's available in 34". Do any of you have a 34" and what do you think of it?
I do, and it's a great bass. Lacks nothing. B string is very powerful and focused.
The newer Lulls are fully switchable active/passive with both on board active pre and passive tone pots. Best of both worlds. I have an older M4V that that was switchable but lacked the passive tone pot. I brought to Mikes shop for the upgrade and now I have it all
Yes.
Three band bart with mids locked at 250, but because it's a lower of a stack with a passive tone on top.
So it's vol(pushpull passive)-blend-tone/mid-treb/bass (yeah, two stacks). lots of knobs but tons of control.
I'd really like to try one out! I love the idea of 18mm string spacing at the bridge as well as a 34" scale length 5er. Hmmm, what to do, what to do...?
