I've been looking at pictures of that one! It's also on eBay. It's such a great classic looking bass and I'm thinking if I ever ordered one, it would be pretty close to that.
Almost joining the "club" here after playing a MV5 in Olympic white at Gelb Music in Redwood City. I think the price was $2850. I can't believe I left it at the store. I am going to be dreaming of it all night.

That's why I never got along with MM basses... great at a few variants of that one sound, but I find that one sound doesn't really serve a variety of music like a J style bass can.It was either that or a Sadowsky Metro for about the same price. I went somewhere else and tried a MM Stingray 5 which had a pretty good feel but it didn't have a lot of different sounds for all its switching and knobs. Hope to find a G&L 5 string at CB Perkins tomorrow to try. I really want to try Lakland Skyline before making a final decision but cannot find one in the San Jose, CA area
