Picked up a stunning new bass at the Lull shop today. My IMA4 batch 6 really blew me away when I got it, but I kept wondering what a 2 pickup version would sound like.

Turns out it sounds really great!

The specs are:
Solid swamp ash body
Non-roasted maple neck and birdseye maple board, vintage tint
Extra-light relic Heirloom nitro finish in Aztec Gold
"Heirloom" pickup spacing
Nickel hardware, no aging

So it's a pretty simple order in terms of wood, just like batch 6. There's something very special about solid ash with a maple neck and board.

Congrats! Wow…that’s realllllly nice! Super cool with the aged pickup covers and no rings!! I like the t-bird rings on some Lull’s, but other’s (like your’s) look best without. Of course the pickguard lends itself to no pickup rings.

Thanks! It's based on two fave IMA4s. The woods from the right one, the finish and look from the left one.

I really like the t-bird pickups aged and without the mounting rings....

Hello my fellow TB’ers and Mike Lull bass owners. I am supposed to get my custom built P4 in Charcoal Frost, in the next month or so. Will post here once I receive it. Just contemplating on Lindy Fralin vs Lull pups in that bass. Can still swap it. I think. Any feedback?

Get the Lull as it is the only way to get it. You can always get a Fralin later. I got two Lull P4s, one with a Lull pickup and the other with a Fralin. They are more similar than different.

Updated list for the newer members. Give me a shout if i missed anyone.
