Been stupid-busy lately but finally got a few minutes to take some pics of the new beast. Took it to rehearsal last week for the Steely Dan tribute band. Universal thumbs up from the band, especially the singers interestingly enough. Ridiculously comfortable to play and interesting P-tones available. It is passive, but the tone seems to be more of a frequency shift rather than a typical passive tone rolloff. There actually are quite a few tones in this bass. Oh, and 7.5 lbs :D

Oh man, that is a G.A.S. inducing lineup you have there. I've been jonesing for a P bass, but really want light weight, a jazz neck and graphite reinforcements (tuning down to C). Right now, the Lull is a leading candidate.

I have a pJ5 with the Duncan pickups, as well as a P4 with Fralins. The Fralins are just the bomb for me, so although the Duncan's are very good, wish Lindy made a 5-string version. Duncan's are more even top to bottom, where as the Fralins have an extra bit of sweetness to them that just make me happy. If you get your hands on a PJ5 you will love it, best 5-string neck I have ever played.

I was thinking about getting a T4 but I was hoping to get Limed Mahogany, aka TV yellow.
According to Curtis Novak, most of the yellow color depends on how the Nitro clear coat ambers as it ages. The finish should look like this to start.

It seems the process is dependent on using Nitro. Does Mike still do Nitro? Think he would be able to replicate the classic Limed Mahogany color?

Oh my. what a bass. These pickups are insane. T-Bird growl.
Very defined, but they get a little wooly too.
Neck is like butter, Love the Mahogany body.
Bass weighs in at 8.8 pounds.
