I've been playing a 4-string BEAD on my Jag for a few years now and LOVE IT. I'm about to go BEAD on my P-bass Special! Still have other regular 4s and a regular 5, but BEAD is my ''go to''.

I put 125 B Nickel XLs on my Jackson Professional. I didn't have to drill the hole out, just very minor nut filing.

I put 125 B DR Fat Beams on the Kelly. I had to drill out the hole one size bigger on this one.

Those 2 are my only passive's and they're some of the best sounding basses I have. Smooth, silky and buttery. You can crank up the volume. Sits very well in the mix for rock. Those Jackson P J pups are great.
