I can't figure out what this bass is? He says he bolted a real bass neck on to some "do it yourself" or "thrown together" thing, but I can't figure that that is? Was that body something else that was converted into (more or less) a bass? or was it a real bass body sort of sawed down and "trimmed"? And how are those controls sort of out in the air there?

Inquiring minds want to know!
