The most stupid thing you can say

This happened to my wife.

She worked at a music store and they tried to prank her.

Asked her if the store sold guitars made of morningwood.

Before I laughed my ass off, I realized that some mom named Karen might actually ask such a question.

Technically I didn't say it but it's too good not to share...

Texas Country artist I played with at a really large venue that could hold around 1500 people, but the opening band was arranged by the venue itself. These guys show up for their soundcheck, and since they're a hair metal tribute band it shouldn't have been any surprise that the guitarist had a Marshall half-stack and three pointy-headstock super-strats with at least four single coils per guitar.

I'm hanging out with the soundman when they start their soundcheck and predictably the guitarist has really bad 60-cycle hum. After the soundman's several attempts to get the guitarist to do something about it and the guitarist not understanding, I walk over to help.

"Hey man, he's trying to say that the buzzing noise you're not liking is from your guitar. That's 60-cycle hum."

Guitarist looks at me like I'm crazy.

"No man, that can't be me. I don't get 60-cycle hum, I'm using a half-stack."
