I'm not surprised about the voting balance. However, if you think about the intended tone of the LBM, it would seem that the USA/NYC fuzz tone is the general preference of Muff lovers on TB!

Russian Muff... Sounds great, mine was modded by Mohomods in Indiana...Has the AC adapter plug and a wicked green LED's. The backwards plugs is a bit of a pain.

I said NYC because of it's mod-friendliness. I don't think the LBM is as easy to mod (but I might be wrong, and if you can make it more bass friendly I'll buy one).

Link Removed modifies Sovtek Big Muffs. I have never known anyone (bassist or otherwise who has used a Moho Muff)

This is my favorite distortion for bass. The Slovtek has a 'boominess' to it that it's NYC counterpart lacks.

I have been jonesing for a SansAmp BDI as I like the 'gritty' sound of its distortion, not to mention it's pre-amp and DI functions.

i chose my 2nd favorite muff, i prefer the English Muff'n over all of those. i like it because it keeps a relatively good tone no matter what. the Big Muff Pi just didnt sound good to me.

As mentioned in a few places now, the Muff'n is NOTHING like any of the other Muffs. This includes the Nano.

Search for my review and soundclips. It's a great pedal for the price, but it's a love it or hate it sound. I'm going to switch mine out for something with a gain control.
