They play hard to get if they didn't go for that! Very cool.
Oh yeah. That and the reverb. I heard a demo and now the voices in my head demand I experiment with the pad setting.

My first MXR experience was about 2 months ago was the MXR M85 Bass Distortion. I'll admit I didn't get it, but took a lot of practice, and I absolutely love it now! You don't get a bad tone out of these things, and has definitely made me less snobbish and neurotic about dirt pedals, which was important for me to realize as a bass player.
I picked up a cheapo MXR Phase 90 pedal last, didn't think I'd get much out of it, but boy that is a fun pedal! My plan now is get MXR for my modulation needs, like the MXR Reverb, Carbon Copy, and Bass Chorus Deluxe

Bass Distortion has been my top fuzz for 3 years now, and occasionally I try another one and always go back in short order.
People are handing out numbers? Didn't know that. Don't think I ever got one. Not important to me, though.
Well, I do like that I belong to a group of forward thinking individuals. But the most important thing is that I gots the bubble funk. So yeah.

Your posts over the years describing how to use the Bass Distortion actually helped me stick with it and practice with it more. Now I'll need to try the Ampeg Scrambler next haha.
LOL...yeah, it's another one I keep going back to, although I've have been using a couple of my older favorites again on occasion. I like the lack of compression with the Scrambler a lot, but sometimes I like a little more compression. Always something.
The MXR Bass Distortion is quite the pedal indeed
. As for modulation, MXR has been my personal favorite for years and IMO, they have it nailed best. If I could afford the real estate, I would have the MXR Stereo Chorus on the board, but it's simply too big for the board I want to chug around. But damn that pedal sounds great on bass.
Has anyone in this club tried the Micro Flanger on bass? The Bassic Gear Review video made it sound pretty good, and I like the Flanger side of the Bass Chorus Deluxe, but the tone controls introduce some unpleasant hiss when DI'd if I have the treble set too high, so I'm trying to find an inexpensive alternative that adds to a growly tone the way the BCD does.
