The MXR Official Club

Two MXRs on my pedalboard, the M87 and the M81.

Here's a demo of the M81 I did:

Flangers, by design, cut/emphasize certain frequencies as they sweep. Are you sure it's cutting, and not just doing its thing like intended? Just a question, I'm not a tech expert or anything.

Yeah it's definitely cutting, not very much, but a little bit. It sounds fine when it's just bass > flanger > amp but when I put it in with the other pedals it cuts so I think it might be the placement of it. Should I run it closer to the beginning of my chain? (I'm currently going bass > boss tuner > EHX BMS > MXR BOD > MXR BCD > MXR Flanger > SolidGold Beta > Aguilar Agro > Fulltone Bass-Drive > B:assmaster > Swollen Pickle > amp) and I have it running on batteries since I don't have an 18 volt adapter.

I also believe that a minor amount of cut is normal on a flange, but I could be mistaken. I'm not a flange expert, by any means.

I currently have:

M82 Bass Envelope Filter
M87 Bass Compressor
M81 Bass Preamp
Phase 90

Used to have the Carbon Copy and Bass Octave Deluxe too. I've slowly been going from BOSS to MXR cause of the new Bass Innovations line that Dunlop has been releasing....still love my 1982 OC-2 though :)

Looking to get the new M85 Bass Distortion or M89 Bass Overdrive next.

The latest revision.

The noise clamp is just a place holder for now. I'll likely get the delay for that location. And the Morley is just a volume. I'm planning on some kind of wah. Since I also play a bit of guitar, I'm not sure which one will work best for both. I still need to finish wiring up the power and in/out jack plate, but it's finally almost done.

The M80 and a Carbon Copy have been the basis for my board (shown here) for over two years. Just got a the Bass Distortion from markmck79 yesterday, so we'll see how it fits in with the rest of the gang!
I also have the M300 Reverb, but it's on loan to my guitarist friend (that PAD setting tho...so good!).
