The new addition

Finally! After all these years of wanting to get a fretless I finally have one. Local music store is going out if business and went to scope out done deals.

Found a great deal on this Sterling.

Just thought I'd share.

Congrats Longshot. Looks nice.

The worst that can happen is you will play out of tune. Double bass players have been doing that since before we were born.

LOL!, I think a fretless would make a better player out of any bass player....it's just that they would SOUND worse! (Until they got back on their fretted bass.)

Love to have one but wonder how long it would take to discipline myself to hitting the right spots on the fretboard? If I play one in a music store I make sure NOT to plug in to an amp!

It's funny. I played an unlined fretless all through college (which we won't say how long ago that was). I ended up selling it to pay rent. So when I was looking for a new fretless I was scared to go unlined as it had been so long.

Not saying I'm perfect a it yet but I was amazed at how it all started coming back to me. That neck on the sterling really helps though.
